RESOLUTION NO. 00-50
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE
RUNOFF ELECTION HELD ON JUNE 3, 2000; DE-
CLARING THE RESULTS FOR COUNCILMEMBER
PLACE 2; AND, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, on June 3, 2000, a
Runoff Election to fill the term of Councilmember Place 2; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at early voting 572 votes and at said runoff
election 1,207 votes on election day for a total vote of 1,779 as shown on the official
election results heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said City; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said city voted in
said election, and said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of
the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City
Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, on June 6, 2000; and showed the following
results:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Keith Shankland is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of
Councilmember Place 2 for a term to expire in May 2003.
Section 2. The above canvass is, and the same is hereby in all things approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 6TH DAY OF JUNE, 2000.
