RESOLUTION NO. 00-43
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD ON MAY 6,2000; DECLARING THE
RESULTS FOR COUNCILMEMBER PLACE 4; AND,
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on May 6, 2000, A
Special Election to fill the unexpired term of Councilmember Place 4; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 4,488 votes as shown on the official
election results heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said City; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said city voted in said
election, and said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the
State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council
of the City of Southlake, Texas, on May 9, 2000; and showed the following results:
COUNCILMEMBER PLACE 4
GREG STANDERFER 2,382
ANN CREIGHTON 1,838
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Greg Standerfer is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of
Councilmember Place 4 for a term to expire in May 2001.
Section 2. The above canvass is, and the same is hereby in all things approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 9TH DAY OF MAY, 2000.
