RESOLUTION NO. 96-27
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE RUNOFF
ELECTION HELD ON JUNE 1, 1996 DECLARING THE
RESULTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBER PLACE 4;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on June 1, 1996, a Runoff
Election for the positions of Mayor and Councilmember Place 4; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 1,854 votes as shown in the official
election returns heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, and
filed with the City Secretary of said City; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas on June 3, 1996 and showed the following results:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. RICK STACY is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of Mayor, for
a term to expire in May, 1997; and, DAVID HARRIS is hereby declared to have been elected
to the Office of Councilmember Place 4, for a term to expire in May, 1998.
Section 2. That this resolution is hereby effective after approval of the City Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 3RD DAY OF JUNE, 1996.
