RESOLUTION 96-18
A RESOLUTION OF COOPERATION WITH THE CITY OF KELLER, THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND TROPHY CLUB
MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1 TO COMPLETE A REGIONAL
WATER SUPPLY LINE AS RECOMMENDED IN THE NORTHEAST
TARRANT COUNTY REGIONAL WATER SUPPLY PLANNING REPORT.
WHEREAS, Alan Plummer and Associates, Inc. prepared the Northeast Tarrant
County Regional Water Supply Planning Report dated April 1995 (the Report) which
makes recommendations for a regional water supply plan for the Northeast Tarrant
County and Southern Denton County area in which the entities that participated in the
Report are located;
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake deems it desirable to proceed with the
planning and implementation of a regional water supply system as recommended in the
Report; and
WHEREAS, the Town believes that a cooperative effort with the City of Fort
Worth, the City of Keller, the City of Southlake and Trophy Club Municipal Utility
District No. 1 is necessary and desirable in order that the objectives outlined in the Report
can be obtained for the mutual benefit of all water users of Northeast Tarrant County and
Southern Denton County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the
Town of Westlake, Texas, that the Town of Westlake will continue to work
cooperatively with its neighbors to complete a regional water supply system as
contemplated by the Report.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake
this 14`h day of October, 1996.
