1993-062City of Southlake, Texas RESOLUTION NO. 93-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 1993. WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on November 2, 1993, an election for the purpose of considering a proposition for or against the adoption of a one-half of one percent sales and use tax; and, WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 1,004 votes as shown in the official returns heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said city; and, WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said city voted in said election, and said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of Texas; and, WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, on November 4, 1993, and showed the following results: PROPOSITION NO. 1 The adoption of a one-half of one percent sales and use tax for the benefit of an industrial development corporation created pursuant to V.A.T.C.S. Article 5190.6, Section 4B, for the purpose of development of public parks and other projects permitted by law. FOR: 701 AGAINST: 303 PASSED AND APPROVED,THIS THE 4TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1993.
