1993-055City of Southlake, Texas RESOLUTION NO. 93-55 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CREATING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE; APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake has authorized the funding of a staff position to promote, ',assist, and enhance economic development activities in the City of Southlake; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need to create an advisory committee to give advice to the City Council and the staff on economic development matters. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: i SECTION 1. The Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) is hereby created to advise the City Council and City staff on ' economic development activity matters. SECTION 2. The objective of the EDAC is to facilitate the work of the City staff in planning and implementing a program of economic development for the City. SECTION 3. The City Council desires to appoint the following members to serve on the Economic Development Advisory Committee: 1. Barry Emerson 2. Rick Wilhelm SECTION 4. Members of the EDAC are appointed for one-year terms, with the initial members appointed to serve until May, 1995. Any member is eligible for reappointment. SECTION 5. The EDAC shall meet with the City Manager and the City Manager's designees as needed, at a time and place to be determined by the Committee, to promote, assist, and enhance economic development activities. SECTION 6. This resolution shall become effective from and after the date of its passage.
