1993-028City of Southlake, Texas ' RESOLUTION NO. 93-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 1, 1993; DECLARING THE RESULTS FOR COUNCILMEMBERS PLACES 1 AND 6, AND JUDGE OF MUNICIPAL COURT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE. WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on May 1, 1993, a General Election for the positions of Councilmember Place 1; Councilmember Place 6; and, Judge of Municipal Court; and, WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 1, 707 votes as shown in the official election returns heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said City; and, WHEREAS, Senate Bill 123 was enacted to require that municipal write-in candidates file declarations of write-in candidacy. A write-in vote may not be counted unless the name written in appears on the list of write-in candidates, and only those candidates who have filed declarations of write-in candidacy are entitled to places on the list of write-in candidates; and, WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, on May,4, 1993 and showed the following results: COUNCILMEMBER PLACE 1 W. RALPH EVANS ....................... 1,047 LARRY GOLDSTEIN ...................... 569 COUNCILMEMBER PLACE 6 ANDREW L. WAMBSGANSS ................. 883 CAROL LEE HAMILTON ................... 763 JUDGE OF MUNICIPAL COURT BRYAN K. BUCHANAN .................... 484 W.A. "BRAD" BRADLEY .................. 1,144 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. RALPH EVANS is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of Councilmember Place 1, for a term to expire in May, 1996. ANDREW L. WAMBSGANSS is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of Councilmember Place 6, for a term to expire in May, 1996. W.A.
