RESOLUTION NO.90-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, SETTING
THE DATE FOR THE PROPOSED TAX RATE
INCREASE PUBLIC HEARING.
WHEREAS, Chapter 26, of the Property Tax Code requires
taxing units to comply with Truth and Taxation Laws in setting
their tax rates; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake has
voted to consider a proposal to adopt a tax rate of $0.4550 on
the September 4, 1990, City Council meeting, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake must publish special
notices and hold a public hearing before adopting a tax rate
that exceeds either the effective tax rate plus three percent or
the rollback rate; and,
WHEREAS, the public hearing on the proposed rate
increase must be the only item on the agenda for the public
hearing; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1: That all the above premises are found to be true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as
if copied in their entirety.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Southlake,
Texas, hereby sets the date of the public hearing to increase
taxes to $0.4550 for 1990, for August 30, 1990, at 7:00 p.m. at
City Hall, 667 North Carroll Avenue, Southlake, Texas.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
