RESOLUTION NO.90-4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, EXCUSING ABSENCES
FROM CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR COUNCILMEMBER
BETTY SPRINGER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
HOME RULE CHARTER, CHAPTER II, SECTION 2.08.
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, City Councilmembers of the City of Southlake,
Texas, are elected positions under the Home Rule Charter of the
City of Southlake, Texas, approved on April 4, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, a provision in the Charter under Chapter II,
Section 2.08, " Vacancies: Forfeiture of Office; Filling of
Vacancies", it is so stated that a Councilmember forfeits his
office if he fails to attend two consecutive regular meetings of
the City Council without being excused by City Council; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Councilmember Betty Springer will be out of the
Country for the June 19, and July 3, City Council meetings as
stated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
Section 2. That the Resolution will be effective upon passage by
the City Council.
