WHEREAS, in an effort to give
more effecient service to the
citizens of the City of Southlake,
Texas, the City Council converted
the city records to a computer
system; and,
WHEREAS, as the City has grown,
city records have expanded and
the IBM Computer System 36 has
reached its capacity; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council authorize the expenditure of funds to expand
the present computer system from A22 (60 Megabytes) to B24
400 Megabytes).
Cost of expansion is $26,900.00 to be paid on a monthly basis
under present lease purchase agreement.
To fund the expansion will require $7,344.00 in FY87 General
Revenue Funds, with the remainder to be funded by future budgets.
Currently available in General Fund, City Administration,
Departments 100, Account Number 236.00 Computer Lease, is
3,522.00. The remaining requirements of $3,822.00 will require
transfer adjustments from the following:
a) General Fund, Building Department, Department 140
Account Number 610.0 0, office equipment maintenance,
1,500.00;
b) Water Fund, Utilities, Department 200, Account Number
605.00 Office machine maintenance, $1,500.00;
c) Water Fund, Utility, Department 200, Account Number
900.00, Capital Expenses (Desk and Chair) $500.00; and
d) General Fund, Public Works, Department 240, Account
Number 605.00 Office machine maintenance, $322.00;
to General Fund, City Administration, Department 100,
Account Number 236.00, Computer Lease.
