WHEREAS, Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and Federal
Aviation Administration officials give the
highest priority to working with the City of
Southlake Aircraft Noise Awareness Committee
representing the City of Southlake to minimize
the impact upon the city from the use of runway
13R/31L, and,
WHEREAS, until some agreement regarding limitations/
restrictions is made reflecting the 10% total
operations usage originated in the Environmental
Impact Study, the airport shall use standard noise
abatement procedures to minimize noise, now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
The airport shall install noise monitors at several pertinent
locations within the City of Southlake to provide permanent
data on actual noise levels within the City from the date
the runway is placed in operation.
