WHEREAS, it is necessary for the best interest
of the citizens of the City of Southlake,
Texas, that there be a Mayor Pro Tempore, to
serve in the absence of the Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, the office of Mayor Pro Tempore is
currently vacant; and,
WHEREAS, the term of such office will be for
one (1) year in accordance with Article 992
of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
CHARLES CURRY, PLACE 3 COUNCILMAN, be and he is hereby
appointed to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for a term of one (1)
year from this date to the third Tuesday of April, 1987.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 13th day of April, 1986.
