WHEREAS, the City of Southlake was
approached by the State Department
of Highways and Public Transporta-
tion who recognizes that the traffic
flow in the intersection of FM1709
and FM1938 has increased to a point
of being a hazard;
and,
WHEREAS, the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation
recognizes that Randol Mill Road
and FM1709 intersection is also a
hazard;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake feels
a favorable solution to this hazard
in the areas of FM1709, FM1938 and
Randol Mill Road would be a realign-
ment of Randol Mill Road and FM1938;
now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council of the City of Southlake, at their January
3,1986 City Council meeting, in a vote of 5-0, concur that
a realignment of Randol Mill Road and FM1938 is a favorable
solution to the traffic hazard and request that this be
considered in the State Department of Highways upgrade
project of FM1938. The City hereby requests that this re-
alignment be considered.
