1985-032i! 1 RESOLUTION 85-32 WHEREAS, it is the wishes of the City Council of the City of Southlake to do everything in there power to insure the safety of the motorist that travel State Highway 114 through the City of Southlake; and, WHEREAS, the City Council sanctions the installation of traffic control devices at various intersections within the City of Southlake on State Highway 114; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems it logical to reduce the speed on State Highway 114 to a maximum of 45 mph; now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: Traffic control devices be installed at the location where State Highway 114 intersects with Kimball Avenue, FM 1709, Carroll Avenue and White Chapel Road. We feel that in order to make this action practical and safe, it would be logical to reduce the maximum speed limit to 45 mph beginning at the intersection of Dove Road and State Highway 114 East beyond the intersection of State Highway 114 and Austin Place.
