WHEREAS, it is necessary for the
best interest of the citizens of
the City of Southlake, Texas, that
there be a City Attorney, to offer
legal advice in the City's behalf;
and,
WHEREAS,'the office of City Attorney
is currently vacant; and,
WHEREAS, the term of such office is
for two (2) years, which will expire
on the first regular meeting in May,
1987; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
WILLIAM H. SMITH,be and he is hereby appointed to serve
as City Attorney, for a term of two (2) years, to expire
the first regular City Council meeting in May, 1987.
