1984-020RESOLUTION 84-20
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Southlake, Texas,
to have ample water resources, and,
WHEREAS, due to the increase in population
of the City of Southlake and resultant in-
crease in water useage where at times the
demands exceed the supply, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake currently
has a contract with the City of Fort Worth,
for the purchase of surface water, however,
the pipeline will not be ready for use until
the fall of 1984, and,
WHEREAS, there are now currently available
two wells excess to the City of North Rich-
land Hills needs which may be purchased to
augment the existing City of Southlake water
resources, now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council authorize Mayor Lloyd 0. Latta Jr., to purchase
two wells and initiate necessary actions required to permit
water resources of the two wells to be integrated into the City
of Southlake water system at the earliest possible time.
