WHEREAS, it is in the best interest
of the citizens of the City of South -
lake, to have ample water resources;
And,
WHEREAS, due to the increase in the
population of Southlake and the result-
ant increase in water useage, at times,
the demands exceed the supply; And,
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake has signed
a contract with the City of Fort Worth
for surface water and as soon as the water
line extension is complete, we will have
ample water supply; Now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council give Mayor Lloyd 0. Latta Jr. the authority
to take necessary steps to amend the water contract with the
City of Fort Worth, to allow us to purchase water on an emergency
basis, passing through the City of Keller water system.
