WHEREAS, it is necessary for the best
interest of the citizens of the City
of Southlake, Texas, that there be a
Mayor to serve as Chief Executive
Officer for the city; And,
WHEREAS, the office of Mayor is
Currently vacant; And,
WHEREAS, the term of such office
will expire on the first Saturday
of April, 1985, in accordance with
Article 989, V.T.A.S.
Now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Lloyd 0. Latta Jr., Councilperson Place 2, be and he is hereby
appointed to serve as Mayor for the remainder of the term,
to expire on the first Saturday of April, 1985.
