WHEREAS, it is necessary for the best
interest of the Citizens of the City of
Southlake, Texas, that there be a Mayor
Pro Tempore, to serve in the absence of
the Mayor; AND,
WHEREAS, the office of Mayor Pro Tempore
is currently vacant; AND,
WHEREAS, the term of such office will be
for one (1) year in accordance with Article
992 of Vernon's Texas Annotated Civil
Statutues; NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, THAT:
LLOYD 0. LATTA JR, COUNCILPERSON PLACE 2, be and he is hereby appoint-
ed to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for a term of one (1) year from this date to
the 1st day of May, 1985,.
