RESOLUTION NO. 79-8
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the best
interest of the citizens of the City of
Southlake, Texas, that there be a Mayor
Pro Tempore to serve in the absence of
the Mayor; And,
WHEREAS, the office of Mayor Pro Tempore
is currently vacant; And,
WHEREAS, the term of such office will be
for one (1) year in accordance with Article
991 of Vernon's Civil Statutes; Now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Sam Sparger, Councilperson, Place 3, be and
he is hereby appointed to serve as Mayor Pro
Tempore for a term of one (1) year from this
date to the third Tuesday of April, 1980.
