WHEREAS, on the 5th day of April, 1977,
Place 3 on the City Council of the City
of Southlake, Texas, was vacated by
reason of the election of Martin R. Hawk
to the office of Mayor; And,
WHEREAS, it isnnecessary for the admini-
stration of the City's business for the
benefit and welfare of its citizens that
an appointment be made to fill such
vacancy; And,
WHEREAS, such vacancy may be filled by
appointment of the City Council in accord-
ance with Article 989 of Vernon's Civil
Statutes; Now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
be and is hereby appointed
the unexp tern[ of the office of Councilman, Place
the City Co ncil of the City of Southlake, Texas, to
until the next regular city election.
