RESOLUTION NO. 77-14
WHEREAS, a municipal court having been
created in the City of Southlake, Texas,
under City Ordinance No. 107 in compli-
ance with Article 1197a of Vernon's
Annotated Civil Statutes; And,
WHEREAS, said Ordinance provides for the
appointment of a judge for said court
and his term of office; And,
WHEREAS, said Ordinance designates the
City Secretary as ex -officio clerk of
the court and further provides for the
appointment of a Deputy to the Clerk of
the Court to perform all of the duties
of said clerk; And,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is to act as
judge in the absence of the aforenamed
Dave Austin; Now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, THAT:
1.
Dave Austin is hereby appointed Judge of the Municipal Court in
the City of Southlake, Texas, holding such office for a term of
two years, running concurrently with the term of the Mayor.
2.
Barbara Stacy is hereby appointed Deputy to the Clerk of the
Court, performing all the duties of said clerk as by law provided.
3.
The City Attorney is hereby appointed to serve as judge in the
absence of the above-named judge.
