RESOLUTION 77 -7
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,TEXAS
WHEREAS, Texas Power and Light Company has filed a request for a rate
change with the City of Southlake, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the said City has commenced a hearing to determine the propriety
of such change; and,
WHEREAS, such hearing is still pending, and the said City Council deems
it in the best interest of the citizens to authorize the Texas Municipal League,
Austin, Texas and its consultants and attorneys in connection with examining
the Texas Power and Light Company's operations on a consolidated basis as more
fully described in a January 10, 1977 memorandum from the Texas Municipal League
to all cities served by Texas Power and Light Company;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the appropriate officials
of the Texas Municipal League, signed by the Mayor of the City of Southlake, Texas,
authorizing the Texas Municipal League and its consultants and attorneys to act
on behalf of the City of Southlake, Texas in its regulatory capacity to obtain
all information necessary and pertinent to Texas Power and Light Company's rate
proposal and to present evidence with respect to Docket 178 pending before the
Public Utility Commission;
It being further resolved that the City of Southlake understands by said
Texas Municipal League's January 10, 1977 memorandum aforesaid that this
resolution and the agreement of the City of Southlake to participate in the
cities collective effort implies absolutely no financial obligation on the part
of the City of Southlake, Texas.
