RESOLUTION NO. 76-5
WHEREAS, there was held in the -City of Southlake,
Texas, on the 3rd day of April, 1976, an election
for City Councilmen in Places 3, 4, and 5; And,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 403 votes
as shown in the official election returns heretofore
lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City
of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secre-
tary of said City; And,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of
said City voted at said election, and said election
was called and held in strict conformity with the
laws of the State of Texas; And,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly can-
vassed by the City Council of the City of Southlake
on the 5th day of April, 1976, and showed the follow-
ing results:
Place 3: Martin (Pat)Hawk .................. 291 votes
Sam Davis ......................... 105 votes
Mike Tate ......................... 1 vote
Bob Mussina 1 vote
J. W. Sullivan .................... 1 vote
Place 4: Bob Goode ......................... 309 votes
James H. Winfrey .................. 88 votes
Place 5: Colon A.-fteet .................... 288 votes
Billy Joe Knox .................... 109 votes
Les Clow .......................... 1 vote
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The above canvass be and the same is hereby in all things
approved.
2. Martin (Pat) Hawk be and is hereby declared to have been
elected to the office of Councilman, Place 3, to serve un-
til April, 1978; Bob Goode be and is hereby declared to
have been elected to the office of Councilman, Place 4, to
serve until April, 1978; and, Colon A. Sweet be and is here-
by declared to have been elected to the office of Council-
man, Place 5, to serve until April, 1978.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 5th day of April, 1976.
