CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Laura Hill, Mayor Pro Tem Shawn McCaskill, Deputy
Mayor Pro Tem John Huffman, and Councilmembers Shahid Shafi, Chad Patton, Ronell
Smith and Christopher Archer.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Assistant City Manager Alison
Ortowski, Assistant to the City Manager Lauren LaNeave, Chief Financial Officer Sharen
Jackson, Deputy Director of Public Relations Pilar Schank, Police Chief James Brandon,
Fire Chief Mike Starr, Director of Human Resources Stacey Black, Director of Economic

1. Call to order
Special meeting was called to order by Mayor Hill at 5:01pm.
2. Resolution No. 20-053, Canvass the returns and declare the results of the General
Election held on November 3, 2020.
APPROVED
Mayor Hill read the results of the November 3, 2020 General Election into the record,
declaring the following:

CANVASSING THE ELECTION RETURNS AND DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS
OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 2020 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ELECTING PERSONS TO CITY COUNCIL PLACES 1 AND 6, WITH A TERM TO
EXPIRE MAY 2023.
3. Special meeting adjourned.
Mayor Hill adjourned the special meeting at 5:06pm.
