A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, CANVASSING THE ELECTION RETURNS AND DECLARING
ELECTION RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER
3, 2020 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING PERSONS TO CITY COUNCIL
PLACES 1 AND 6, WITH A TERM TO EXPIRE MAY 2023.
WHEREAS, a General Election was called on February 11, 2020 to elect persons to the
office of City Council Places 1 and 6, with a term to expire May 2023; and,
WHEREAS, the General Election was then postponed on March 23, 2020 to be held on
November 3, 2020, due to public health and safety concerns related to the
novel coronavirus (COVID-19); and,
WHEREAS, the General Election was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on November 3,
2020 for the purpose of electing persons to City Council Places 1 and 6; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City voted in said election, and said
election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of
Texas; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 18,765 ballots were cast in Tarrant County and Denton County as
shown on the official election results hereto and lawfully submitted to the City
Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said
City; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election are hereby duly canvassed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, on November 17, 2020, showing the following results
for Tarrant County and Denton County combined:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:

Section 1. The above canvass is and the same is hereby in all things approved, declaring
the following elected to office by the voters:
Name Place Term
Kathy Talley Place 1 Term to expire May 2023
Randy Williamson Place 6 Term to expire May 2023
Section. 2. Attached to this resolution are the cumulative reports from Tarrant County and
Denton County.
Section 3. This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
