AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 161
OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY AMENDING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF 55 ACRES OF LAND
OUT OF THE RICHARD EADS SURVEY, ABSTRACT
NO. 481 OWNED BY IRVING E. COPE FROM "AG
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT" TO "H HEAVY COM-
MERCIAL DISTRICT"
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of
zoning,notice given to applicable property owners of
public hearing, notice of public hearing published, and
public hearing having been conducted, all in compliance
with Ordinance No. 161 of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW THEREFORE:
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the
City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7,
1969, and being the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance" is
hereby amended insofar as the 55 acre tract of land,
more or less, owned by Irving E. Cope, out of the Richard
Eads Survey, Abstract No. 481, Tarrant County, Texas,
bounded by State Highway 114 on the North and by County
Road 3012, now known as F.M. 1709, on the South, and more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Being a tract or parcel of land out of the
Richard Eads Survey in Tarrant County, Texas,
Beginning at a point 390 feet North of the
Southeast corner of the Richard Eads Survey;
Thence North, 1202.7 feet to a point in the
South line of State Highway 114; Thence
Northwesterly with the South line of State
Highway 114 on a curve to the right having
a radius of 5779.6 feet a distance of 1560.7
feet; Thence South 0 degrees 48 minutes West,
2019.4 feet; Thence South 89 degrees 22 min-
utes East, 1343.1 feet to the point of begin-
ning and containing 44.9 acres of land, more
or less; And a tract or parcel of land out
of the Richard Eads Survey in Tarrant
County, Texas, Beginning at a point 50
feet North of the Southeast corner of
the Richard Eads Survey being a point
in the North line of County Road 3012
(now known as F.M. 1709); Thence North
340 feet; Thence North 89 degrees 22
minutes West, 1343.1 feet; Thence South
0 degrees 48 minutes West, 340 feet to
a point in the North line of County Road
3012 (now known as F.M. 1709); Thence
South 89 degrees 22 minutes East with
the North line of said County road a
distance of 1347.5 feet to the point
of beginning and containing 10.5 acres
of land, more or less,
is changed from its prior zoning classification of " 'AG'
Agricultural District" to a zoning classification of "'H'
Heavy Commercial District".
SECTION 2. The official zoning map created by said
ordinance No. 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change
in zoning classification made by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said ordinance No. 161, except as amended
by this Ordinance No. 161-1, remains in effect in all
other respects as originally passed.
This Ordinance shall take effect after its passage
and any publication or posting, if any, as required by law.
