AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 161
OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY AMENDING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF 137 ACRES
OF LAND OUT OF THE JOHN A. FREEMAN
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 529 OWNED BY
WILLIAM ELDER AND MANUEL GONZALEZ FROM
"'AG' AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT" TO "PUD'
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT".
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of
zoning, notice given to applicable property owners of pub-
lic hearing, notice of public hearing published, and public
hearing having been conducted, all in compliance with
Ordinance No. 161 of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW THEREFORE:
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the
City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7,
1969, and being the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance" is
hereby amended insofar as the 137 acre tract of land, more
or less, owned by William Elder and Manuel Gonzalez, out of
the John A. Freeman Survey, Abstract No. 529, Tarrant County,
Texas, is changed from its prior zoning classification of "AG'
Agricultural District" to a zoning classification of '11PUD'
Planned Unit Development" as follows:
BLOCKS A, B and C zoned "'H' Heavy Commercial Dis-
trict" out of the above described tract and being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the
South line of Farm to Market Road No. 1709 with
the East line of Carroll School Road; Thence East
along the South line of F. M. 1709 for a distance
of 2686.55 feet to a point for corner; Thence
South 450.00 feet to a point for corner; Thence
West 1340.00 feet to a point for corner; Thence
South 525.00 feet to a point for corner; Thence
West-131+0.00 feet to a point for corner; in the
East line of Carroll School Road; Thence North
along the East line of Carroll School Road for
a distance of 975.00 feet to the point of BE-
GINNING and containing 43.8 acres of land.
BLOCK D zoned "'F' Light Industrial District"
out of the above described tract and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows: BEGINNING at a point for corner in
the East line of Carroll School Road, same be-
ing 975.00 feet South of the intersection of
the South line of F. M. 1709 with said East
line of Carroll School Road; Thence East 1340.00
feet to a point for corner; Thence South 1256.60
feet to a point for corner; Thence North 89
degrees 29 minutes 55 seconds West 1335.22 feet
to a point for corner in the East line of
Carroll School Road; Thence North along the
East line of Carroll School Road for a dis-
tance of 1269.59 feet to the point of BE-
GINNING and containing 38.76 acres of land.
BLOCK E zoned "'A-10' Multi-Family Distrct"
out of the above described tract and being
more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point for
corner which is 2686.55 feet East and 450.00
feet South of the intersection of the South
line of F. M. 1709 with the East line of Carroll
School Road; Thence South 1768.62 feet to a
point for corner; Thence North 89 degrees 29
minutes 55 seconds West 1310.00 feet to a point
for corner; Thence North 1781.61 feet to a
point for corner; Thence East 1340.00 feet to
the point of BEGINNING and containing 54.60
acres of land
SECTION 2. The official zoning map created by said Ordinance
No. 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change in zoning
classification made by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended by
this Ordinance No. 1 61 -4 and Ordinance Nos. 161-1 through -3,
remains in effect in all other respects as originally passed.
This Ordinance shall take effect after its passage and
any publication or posting, if any, as required by law.
