AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 161
OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY AMENDING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF FOUR ACRES OF
LAND OF LOT 1 OF THE W. E. MAYFIELD SUB-
DIVISION OWNED BY MRS, D. B. GILBREATH
FROM "AG AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT" TO "F
LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT"
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of zoning,
notice given to applicable property owners of public hearing,
notice of public hearing published, and public hearing hav-
ing been conducted, all in compliance with Ordinance No. 161
of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW THEREFORE:
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the
City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7,
1969, and being the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance" is
hereby amended insofar as the four acre tract of land, more
or less, owned by Mrs. D. B. Gilbreath, out of the five acre
acre tract of land, more or less, known as part of Lot 1 of
the W. E. Mayfield Subdivision, and described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot
1 of the W. E. Mayfield Subdivision of a
part of the Thomas Easter Survey, Abstract
No- 474, and S. Freeman Survey, Abstract
No. 525, in Tarrant County, Texas, accord-
ing to the Plat of this Subdivision re-
corded in Book 388-C, Page 4, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, and said point or
corner also being at the Northeast corner
of the intersection of Keller Road and Old
Farm to Market Road 1709; THENCE North
08 degrees 30 minutes East 436 feet and
along the West line of said Lot 1, men-
tioned above, to a point for corner;
THENCE Southeast and parallel with the
South line of said Lot 1 and the North
line of Keller Road a distance of 500
feet to a point for corner; THENCE in a
Southerly direction to the Northwest
corner of a one acre tract of land out
of Lot 1, conveyed by Eugene R. Fant
and wife, Lena Marie Fant, to George
R. Dettenmayer and wife, Grace G.
Dettenmayer, by deed dated November
7, 1953, recorded in Book 2643, Page 488,
Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE Southwest and along the West
line of said mentioned Dettenmayer one
acre tract 240.12 feet to a point for
corner on the North line of Keller Road
and the South side of Tract 1 of the
Mayfield Subdivision; THENCE North 72
degrees 30 minutes West 499.1 feet to
the place of beginning; SAVE AND EXCEPT
the Southeast corner of said five acre
tract 209 feet by 209 feet containing
one acre of land, more or less,
is changed from its prior zoning classification of "'AG'
Agricultural District" to a zoning classification of "'F'
Light Industrial District".
SECTION 2. The official zoning map created by said
Ordinance No. 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change
in zoning classification made by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended
by this Ordinance No. 1 61 -5 and Ordinance Nos. 161 -1 through
-4, remains in effect in all other respects as originally
passed.
This Ordinance shall take effect after its passage and
any publication or posting, if any, as required by law.
