AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 161
OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY AMENDING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF TWENTY-THREE AND
ONE-HALF ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT
OF THE J. G. ALLEN SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 18,
FROM AG (AGRICULTURE) DISTRICT TO A-3 (RESIDEN-
TIAL) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of zoning, notice given
to applicable property owners of public hearing, notice of public hearing
published, and public hearing having been conducted, all in compliance with
Ordinance No. 161 of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, January 7, 1969, and being the "Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance" is hereby amended insofar as the twenty-three and one-
4 half acres of land, more or less, out of the J. G. Allen Survey, Abstract
No. 18, Tarrant County, Texas, more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:

BEGINNING at a steel rod in the Southwest corner of a 4.1547
acre tract as recorded in Volume 4430, Page 518, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, said point also being, by deed description,
2632.94 feet East and 1033.5 feet South 6 degrees 12 minutes East
of the Northeast corner of said J. G. Allen Survey;
THENCE North 6 degrees 12 minutes West a distance of 985.21 feet
to a steel rod in the South R.O.W. line of County Road #4049

(Johnson Road) ;
THENCE North 88 degrees 08 minutes 40 seconds East with said
Southerly R.O.W. line, a distance of 441.66 feet to an angle
point in said R.O.W. line;
THENCE North 89 degrees 56 minutes 50 seconds East, with said
South R.O.W. line, a distance of 674.74 feet to a steel rod;
THENCE South 3 degrees 13 minutes 10 seconds East a distance of
832.11 feet to a steel rod for corner;

THENCE South 73 degrees 52 minutes 45 seconds West a distance of
408.63 feet to a steel rod for corner;
THENCE South 85 degrees 41 minutes West a distance of 665.83 feet
to the place of beginning and containing 23.48 acres of land, more
or less,
is changed from its prior zoning classification of AG (Agriculture) District
to a zoning classification of A-3 (Residential) District.
SECTION 2. The official zoning map created by said Ordinance No. 161 is
hereby amended to reflect the change in zoning classification made by this
Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended by this Ordinance
No. 161-56 and prior ordinance amendments, remains in effect in all other
respects as originally passed. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage.
