AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 161
OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY AMENDING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF TWENTY-FIVE ACRES
OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE D. DOUTHIT
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 448, AND THE R. D. PRICE
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 1207, FROM AG (AGRICULTURE)
DISTRICT TO A-2 (RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of zoning, notice
given to applicable property owners of public hearing, notice of public
hearing published, and public hearing having been conducted, all in compliance
with Ordinance No. 161 of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, January 7, 1969, and being the "Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance" is hereby amended insofar as the twenty-five acres of land,
more or less, out of the D. Douthit Survey, Abstract No. 448, and the R. D. Price
Survey, Abstract No. 1207, Tarrant County, Texas, more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake in the North line of the D. Douthit
Survey 93-1/2 varas West of its Northeast corner;
THENCE West 262-19/100 varas to a stake in said North line;
THENCE South 950 varas crossing the South line of said Douthit
Survey, in all 1200 varas a stake;
THENCE East 355-69/100 varas to a stone;
THENCE North 250 varas to a stone, the Southeast corner of the
D. Douthit Survey;
THENCE West 93-1/2 varas a stake in the South line of said
Douthit Survey;
THENCE North 950 varas to the place of beginning, less a govern-
ment tract of land known as C-246 which contains approximately
35 acres of land more or less, in Denton and Tarrant Counties and
recorded in Vol. 2297, Page 24, Deed Records, Tarrant County,
Texas.
is changed from its prior zoning classification of AG (Agriculture) District
to a zoning classification of A-2 (Residential) District.
SECTION 2. The official Zoning Map created by said Ordinance No. 161 is
hereby amended to reflect the change in zoning classification made by this
Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended by this Ordinance
No. 161-50 and prior ordinance amendments, remains in effect in all other
respects as originally passed. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage.
