A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS,
APPOINTING THE SOUTHLAKE 2035 LAND USE PLAN
COMMITTEE AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFETIVE DATE
WHEREAS, a Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas,
was approved by the voters in a duly called Charter election on April 4,
1987; and,
WHEREAS, the Home Rule Charter, Chapter XI requires an update to
the City's comprehensive plan (Southlake 2035 Plan) every four years;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the various
Southlake 2035 elements will be developed by committees appointed by
City Council; and,
WHEREAS, these committees will develop plan elements that will be
presented to City Council after a recommendation from the Planning and
Zoning Commission for consideration.
WHEREAS, the motion approving this Resolution 16-051 is provided
as exhibit "A".
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Southlake 2035 Land Use Plan Committee is hereby
established.
Section 2. All of the findings in the preamble are found to be true and
correct and the City Council hereby incorporates said
findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 3. The City Council hereby appoints the following members to
the various Southlake 2035 Land Plan Committees:
Name: Council Member John Huffman
Name: Council Member Shawn McCaskill
Name: The Planning and Zoning Commission will appoint two (2) of its
members to the 2035 Land Use Committee
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective after its passage and
approval by the City Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 18th DAY OF OCTOBER, 2016.
